An abundance of high quality materials, such as 100% leather midsoles, Biltrite tapsoles, and Cat’s Paw heels form the solid foundation for this unique Yuketen design. Inside the shoe, Yuketen’s full-leather insole offers unparalleled comfort that conforms to the wearer’s foot. In addition, the shoe narrows at the arch of the foot to provide a sock-like fit and added support. A 100% leather stacked heel, ¾ welt and horseshoe are a testament to Yuketen’s dedication to quality.
Originally, the popular Cat’s Paw heel had been used by cobblers and would only be available as a replacement heel on repaired shoes. The inclusion of the Cat’s Paw on Yuketen models such as the Polish Work Boot reflect an astute attention to detail and reference designer Yuki Matsuda’s own experience with the Cat’s Paw on vintage boots.
