Country Ranger - Snake Choco

Yuketen’s early notoriety owed much to our resuscitation of the ranger moccasin style. A classic, masculine design blending moccasin and blucher and made popular in the 1950’s, the ranger moccasin was long-overlooked prior to its reinterpretation and reintroduction by Yuketen. Keeping with a philosophy that seeks to push the evolution of footwear design and construction toward higher standards of excellence, Yuketen has continued to improve upon the fundamental structure of this popular silhouette, while preserving its New England heritage.

Presented in a blucher profile, the Country Ranger brings together the most advanced methods in hand and machine shoe construction. During the genuine hand-sewn construction of our moccasins, awl, needle and thread are used to hand-stitch the shoe's tip to the vamp leather, which cradles the foot. The heel is then machine-lasted, the resultant upper resting atop eight-layers of stacked midsole components and a natural crepe rubber outsole.

Our distinctive midsole component, constructed from natural crepe rubber and 100% vegetable-tanned leather, is Goodyear-stitched together before being stitched directly to the vamp leather. Steel shank reinforcements increase fitting in the arch and heel, forming a stable bridge between the heel and ball of the owner's foot which causes weight to be distributed more evenly across the foot. This results in reduced foot fatigue and improved comfort. Finally, our Yuketen signature tucks and full leather insoles are also made from 100% vegetable-tanned leather and will naturally accommodate the distinct shape of the wearer’s foot over time.

A natural-crepe rubber wedge sole has been directly attached to the midsole. Made in the U.S.A. from 100% natural crepe, the wedge sole provides superb shock absorption and an incredibly soft and slip-resistant tread, ensuring sublime comfort for the wearer. 

WARNING: It is important to avoid contact with any petroleum based products as they may cause the natural crepe rubber sole to dissolve.
