Named after the charm of the Mediterranean island of Ischia, our Moc Ischia is a traditional Italian moccasin loafer made from 100% vegetable-tanned leather and adorned with an oversize bit ornament, an equestrian design touch. Each loafer is hand-crafted in Italy from select cuts of hand-dyed Italian calf leather. During the genuine hand-sewn construction of our moccasins, awl, needle and thread are used to hand-stitch each loafer's tip to the vamp leather, which cradles the foot. The overlapping, waterproof moccasin stitch used for this shoe is reserved for leather artisans with the highest level of skill and dexterity. As a touch of sophistication, the calfskin upper is fully leather lined with supple cow leather for interior comfort.
The foundation of this style includes 100% vegetable-tanned leather soles attached directly to the upper by a traditional McKay stitch, which is neatly covered with a highly-polished layer of vegetable-tanned leather. Leather stack heels with rubber keys complete the sole component.
Yuketen’s Moc Ischia interprets the traditional Italian bit loafer with bolder effect achieved by the large-gauge bit ornament centerpiece and unrivaled quality through craftsmanship.
