The unique design of the Tyrolean shoe originates from the region of Tyrol, an area of the Alps and a territory that is now split between modern-day Austria and Italy. The upward-curving and pointed toe along with the two-eyelet lacing system and fold are all elements that can be found on traditional shoes in the mountain communities in this area. Yuketen adopts these characteristics and combines them with Goodyear-welt construction for the "Tyrolean in the U.S.A.", executed with the same level of craftsmanship and premium components found in all Yuketen products.
The fundamental components for this style are luxurious suede uppers lined with soft-tanned cow leather for added comfort and a foundation that is constructed of a combination of vegetable-tanned leather midsoles and Yuketen cork chip work boot soles. Yuketen’s meticulous Goodyear stitches are made by a sturdy 1910 German-made welt stitcher.
This adventurous style mixes the unique regional aesthetics of Tyrol with Yuketen styling while simultaneously maintaining all core principles and construction techniques for high-quality handmade footwear.
